Field Hockey Scheduled to Begin Spring Competition

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse University field hockey team will be playing in five competitions this spring as it begins its preparation for the 2008 fall season. The team is scheduled to battle at several venues including the University of Maryland, Boston College and a home tournament on Coyne Field.

The Orange is first scheduled to compete on Mar. 29 at the University of Maryland and will then go on to play in four other events in the month of April. On April 5, Syracuse will travel to Old Dominion for a tournament followed by James Madison University on April 6. The team will then compete at the annual home tournament on April 19at Syracuse University and will end its spring competition at Boston College on Apr. 26.

The SU field hockey team finished its 2007 fall season after reaching the BIG EAST semi-finals in November. The team had an overall record of 12-7 and was 3-3 in conference play.
