Gary Gait's Laxapalooza Set For Saturday, Feb. 9

Lacrosse fans won't want to miss any of the action at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, February 9 when Syracuse University, along with TK99 FM and Galaxy Communications, hosts Gary Gait's Laxapalooza. The event is free of charge and features the Syracuse men's lacrosse scrimmage, a youth clinic and a shooting demonstration by head women's lacrosse coach Gary Gait and former Orange All-Americans Paul Gait and Mike Powell.
The Orange men's lacrosse squad, under the direction of 10-year head coach John Desko, has its final warm-up for the 2008 season when it takes on Harvard at Noon. Post-game festivities will run from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and include a youth clinic for players ages 8-18 (participants must bring equipment), a shooting demonstration by the Gaits and Powell and a Fan Fun Zone. Music will be provided by Powell and his band, Villains Trust.
