Seventh-seed Syracuse is entering its first NCAA tournament since its 2002 bid and will battle 10th-seed Hartford on the hardwood of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday in Oklahoma City bracket of the NCAA Tournament. The contest, which is schedule to start at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET, will be televised on ESPN 2.
"It’s good to have tough games," said head coach Quentin Hillsman. "That’s the way the NCAA tournament should be – good teams playing tough games. Hartford is a very good team. I’ve followed them a lot and we just have to get ready and really prepare to beat Hartford. We’re in the BIG EAST, but we have a lot of young kids and they don’t know about Hartford. They’ve been really good for the past two or three years at least. It’s going to be a tough game. They’re going to come after us and it’s going to be a very intense game. I’m looking forward to it."
Tickets go on sale to the general public at the Carrier Dome Box Office on Wednesday, March 19 at noon
