The women's rowing team began its spring schedule on Saturday, March 29 with competition against Boston University, Boston College and Buffalo. The women's lacrosse team battled the top-team in the country, Northwestern, on Monday, March 24 and faced BIG EAST foe Cincinnati on Sunday, March 30. The softball team began BIG EAST play at Rutgers and Villanova on Saturday and Sunday. Tennis hosted three matches against Villanova, Colgate and St. John's and the track and field team was running at the Raleigh Relay on Friday, March 29 through Saturday and also ran at the Dick Shea Open on Saturday.
The No. 5/6 women's lacrosse team went 1-1 during the week with a 19-7 loss against No. 1/1 Northwestern on Monday, March 24, but rebounded with a commanding 23-4 win against Cincinnati on Sunday, March 30. A Syracuse record-setting crowd of 1,696 fans came out to watch the Orange battle the top-ranked team in the country.
Junior Megan Mosenson led the Orange with a career-high three goals, and sophomore Halley Quillinan set a new career best with three assists against the Wildcats. Junior Katie Rowan unleashed a nine-point performance against the Bearcats en route to becoming only the second women's lacrosse player in school history to hit the 200 career point plateau. She led the way with six goals, while sophomore Breanna Stiff, sophomore Christina Dove and senior Kristin Brady each scored three.

The women's team began its spring season with six races on Saturday, March 29 as it hosted Boston University, Boston College and Buffalo at the Onondaga Lake Outlet in Longbanch Park. Syracuse defeated Boston College with a time of 7:26.3 in the second of two varsity eight races of the day. The boat comprised of Tina Campagna (coxswain), Ally Doodeman (stroke), Natalie Mastracci (seven seat), Lindsay Lentini (six seat), Jess Tacinelli (five seat), Kaitlin Grant (four seat), Liz Henwood (three seat), Sarah Stapp (two seat) and Christine DePompeo (bow) went 1-1 on the day.
The Orange also won the varsity fours with a time of 7:52.6. The boat comprised of Kate Todd (coxswain), Maura Helmer (stroke), Ashley Tabor (three seat), Zaula Usman (two seat) and Susan Groff (bow) defeated Boston University by 13 seconds and Boston College by 24 seconds. SU also took home both novice races, winning the novice eights race with a time of 7:59.3 and the novice fours race with a time of 9:36.5.

The Orange softball team began BIG EAST play with three wins in four games. On Saturday, March 29, SU unloaded for seven runs in two consecutive games to cruise to 7-2 wins at Rutgers. SU totaled 27 hits in the two games and was led by five different student-athletes who produced four hits. On Sunday, March 30, Syracuse split with Villanova with a 4-1 win in the first game and a 2-0 loss in the second.
Senior Chanel Roehner earned two wins in the circle and is now 5-5 this year. She carried a no-hitter deep into the fourth inning against Villanova and only allowed one hit into the sixth. Junior catcher Amy Kelley extended her home run streak to four games – dating back to the March 16 game against Binghamton – by homering during the first three games of the weekend. She finished the four games with a 1.182 slugging percentage. Junior shortstop Jamie Kelling led the team with seven hits, while junior first baseman Nicole Miller was first with six RBI.

Tennis
The Orange tennis team cruised to three victories during the week and opened with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday, March 25 against Villanova. The team claimed another 7-0 win against Colgate a day later on Wednesday, March 26. Saturday, March 29's match against St. John's proved to be a little tougher but the Orange prevailed, 4-3.

Sophomore Chelsea Jones won three consecutive matches single matches, while sophomore Ashley Spicer extended her singles winning streak to four matches. Combined the two have post four straight doubles wins.

The track and field team competed at the Raleigh Relays on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29. Graduate Aulton Kohn posted an NCAA Regional-qualifying time of 10.55 seconds in the men's 100m dash during the first day. During the second day, senior Kyle Heath finished second in the Section I 1500m run with an IC4A-qualifying time of 3:49.11.
The team was also in action at the Dick Shea Open on Saturday, March 29. Senior Meghan Rowcliffe (11:56.67 – 3000m steeplechase), junior Lori Robinson (1:01.03 – 400m dash), sophomore Annabelle Pellerin (1.60m – high jump) and freshman Catherine DeSarle (4:57.50 – 1500m run) lead the Orange with first-place performances.
