Tournament Remix: Orange's USF Invitational Update Schedule

CLEARWATER, Fla. – With the heavy thunderstorms pass Florida and into the Atlanic Ocean, the USF Invitational will continue on Saturday, Mar. 8 with a new schedule. Syracuse, which earned a 3-2 victory against Sam Houston State on Friday, Mar. 7, will resume play with a 10:30 a.m. game against Big Ten foe Indiana. A 1 p.m. outing with Fairfield will follow.

Sunday's (Mar. 9) revamped schedule pits the Orange against Quinnipiac at 9 a.m. and Kennesaw State at 11 a.m.

The Orange are riding the momentum of its first win of the season. Against the Bearkats, freshman Hallie Gibbs produced two hits and a team-best two RBI, while senior pitcher Chanel Roehner pitched a complete game, striking out four batters.

Junior catcher Amy Kelley led the way by going 3-for-3 and sophomore leftfielder Ev Anderson went 2-for-3. Roehner and junior shortstop Jamie Kelling also produced hits during the game.
