The women's lacrosse team kept its hot streak going with an 18-6 victory against Rutgers, while the softball team had two victories (6-4 and 2-1) against New York State foe Niagara. The men's rowing claimed the Oliver T. Carr Bowl and the Ten Eyck Cup at the George Washington Invitational. Women's rowing's varsity four boat shined by winning its competition against Penn and Northeastern. Track and field continued its outdoors season with event in Georgia and North Carolina.
Junior Katie Rowan made history with her seven point performance in the fifth-ranked women's lacrosse team's 18-6 victory at Rutgers on April 12. Rowan surpassed her own single-season scoring record of 86 points and now has 87 with three regular-season games remaining. With the victory, SU clinched at least a tie for the BIG EAST regular-season crown.
Rowan, who also set the single-season assists record with 41, is 13 goals shy of owning the school's single-season record. Joining Rowan on the score sheet was Halley Quillinan, who tallied a game-high four goals and one assists. Megan Mosenson recorded three goals and three assists, while Christina Dove and Kristin Brady had three goals each. Awehiyo Thomas added two goals for the Orange.

The Syracuse men’s crew team won the Oliver T. Carr Bowl for recording the highest men’s point total with 114 at the 21st Annual George Washington Invitational on April 12. The Orange went a combined 8-1 on the day and also retained the Ten Eyck Cup with its win against Rutgers.
The varsity eight boat of Jamie Hubbell (coxswain), Ryan Armstrong (stroke), Ryan Patton (7 seat), Martin Etem (6 seat), Brian Azeff (5 seat), Tyson Bry (4 seat), Mike Bagnall (3 seat), John Combs (2 seat) and Dan Lombardi (bow) posted a time of 5:36.9 against George Washington and Rutgers during the morning session to retain the Ten Eyck Cup for the third consecutive season. In the marquee race of the day, SU’s varsity eight narrowly defeated Georgetown by 4.1 seconds with a time of 5:53.6.

Women’s Rowing
The women's rowing team took first in the varsity four with a time of 7:55.1 against Penn (7:56.1) and Northeastern (8:00.7). The boat was made up of Kate Todd (coxswain), Ashley Tabor (stroke), Zaula Usman (3 seat), Susan Groff (2 seat) and Brittany Jock (bow).
The women's rowing team took first in the varsity four with a time of 7:55.1 against Penn (7:56.1) and Northeastern (8:00.7). The boat was made up of Kate Todd (coxswain), Ashley Tabor (stroke), Zaula Usman (3 seat), Susan Groff (2 seat) and Brittany Jock (bow).
The varsity eight recorded a third-place time of 7:04.1 and the second varsity eight also finished third with a time of 7:19.6.

The Syracuse softball team went 2-4 during the week with wins against Niagara, 6-4 and 2-1, on April 8 at the SU Softball Stadium. The Orange lost to Louisville, 6-1 and 8-5, on April 11 and to South Florida, 5-4 and 1-0, on April 13. Junior catcher Amy Kelley continued her consistent ways by going 7-for-17 (.412) for the week with a team-leading three doubles. Freshman third baseman Hallie Gibbs went 6-for-18 (.333) with a three RBI, while senior utility player Chanel Roehner had a team-best five RBI.
Sophomore pitcher Brittany Gardner earned both wins against Niagara by pitching 4.2 innings, striking out three, during game one and throwing 7.0 innings, striking out a season-high 10, during the night cap. She posted a 2.07 ERA this week and struck out 23.

Track and Field
The Orange track and field team competed at the Bulldog Decathlon and Heptathlon hosted by the University of Georgia From April 10-13, while other members of the team competed at the Spec Towns Invitational and the Tony Waldrop Open on April 12.

Junior Mike Chitro and sophomore Jon Buice posted second and third-place finishes at the Bulldog Decathlon. Chitro tallied 6,300 points en route to the runner-up performance and Buice collected 6,282 points. During the heptathlon, senior Jillian Droiun captured the heptathlon crown with an NCAA Provisional-qualifying mark of 5,445 points. Freshman Flings Owusu-Agyapong paced the Orange at the Tony Waldrop Open with a first-place finish in the 100m dash with an ECAC-qualifying time of 11.97 seconds.
