
Voting for Final Four 'Cuse Awards is Live

Orange fans are invited to vote on the final four 'Cuse Awards now. Voting is live for the Performance of the Year, Play of the Year, Shot of the Year, and Move of the Year. The second annual 'Cuse Awards will be Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.. at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse. Orange student-athletes will take center stage during the 2008 program celebrating the extraordinary athletic, academic and community service achievements of Syracuse University Athletics. The 'Cuse Awards is presented by TK-99, the flagship radio station of Syracuse Athletics. Click here to vote for the awards.
Candidates for Performance of the Year include: Jillian Drouin (track & field), Fantasia Goodwin (basketball), Amy Kelley (softball), Michael LeBlanc (track & field) and Katie Rowan (lacrosse). The individuals on the ballot for Play of the Year include: Steven Brooks (lacrosse), Kristof Ongenaet (basketball), Tom Perevegyncev (soccer) and Max Suter (football), while the Shot of the Year nominees include: Jonny Flynn (basketball), Kyle Hall (soccer, Lauren Jantzen (soccer), Erica Morrow (basketball) and Rachel Tilford (softball). The four candidates for Move of the Year are: John Carozza (lacrosse), Rob Cavicchia (soccer), Jonny Flynn and Donte Green (basketball) and Mike Williams (football).
TK-99 morning personalities Gomez and Dave will host the show, along with Voice of the Orange, Matt Park. A limited number of tickets are available to the general public at a cost of $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Please call the Orange Club Office (315-443-1419) to order.

The 'Cuse Awards will showcase academic and athletic talents and community service outreach within the University community, as well as the neighboring community, and will recognize many outstanding achievements from 2007-08, including the Play of the Year, Game of the Year, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year, the Syracuse Eight Award of Courage, academic and athletics All-Americans, individual team awards, and the presentation of the 2008 Soladay Award.
