
Inside Lacrosse Honors Rowan

Inside Lacrosse has picked junior attack Katie Rowan as its Nike Women's Division I Player of the Week for her performance in Syracuse's win 21-9 against Towson in the first round of the NCAA Championship. Rowan recorded 13 points on five goals and eight assists against the Tigers, setting school and NCAA Championship single-game records for points and assists.
Rowan leads the team and the nation in scoring (136 pts.), assists (65) and assists per game (3.42). She is tied with teammate Christina Dove for the team in goals scored as both have found the back of the net 71 times this season.
This season Rowan has become Syracuse's career leader in points (278), goals scored (176) and assists (102).
The Orange put its 10-game winning streak on the line Saturday when it hosts North Carolina at 1 p.m. in the Carrier Dome in the NCAA Championship quarterfinals. Click here to purchase tickets.
