Two Orange Football Games Highlight BIG EAST Network Broadcast Schedule

Two more 2008 Syracuse football games will be televised. The Orange BIG EAST Conference season-opener against Pittsburgh in the Carrier Dome on September 27 and the regular-season finale at Cincinnati will both be broadcast on the BIG EAST Network. Both games will kick off at 12:00 p.m. In addition, ESPN has confirmed the Syracuse season-opener at Northwestern on August 30 will be televised nationally on ESPN2 and is slated for a 12:00 p.m. EST kickoff.
The BIG EAST Network, formerly called ESPN Regional Television, reaches more than 40 million homes in 32 states. In Syracuse, the games are carried on Time Warner 26. For a complete listing of BIG EAST Network stations, visit www.bigeast.org.

Head coach Greg Robinson, senior guard Ryan Durand and junior defensive tackle Arthur Jones represented the Orange at the annual BIG EAST Conference Media Day on Tuesday, discussing the upcoming season with more than 110 members of the media. Robinson looks forward to getting started this weekend.
"We have been building a culture for three and a half years and I see the vision I had for our program coming to fruition," Robinson said. "I really like the young people in our program. There is a quality that runs through this football team and it is the love of the game of football. The expectation for this team is to blossom and have all of our hard work, struggles and pain that we have gone through be rewarded. This team has leadership from top to bottom, from the young guys to the fifth year seniors. I look forward to the leaders emerging early in camp."
