
Syracuse Receiving Votes in Three National Polls

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange men’s soccer team received votes in three of the four major national polls this week. Syracuse earned votes in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 for the third consecutive week on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The team also received votes in the College Soccer News Top 30 and the SoccerTimes.com national rankings. The Orange owns a 5-2-2 overall record and has six shutouts, including a 3-0 defeat of #20/22 Providence.
Syracuse moved up a spot to ninth in this week’s NSCAA/adidas Northeast rankings. The Orange had tied for tenth in the regional poll the previous three weeks.
The Orange was one of eight BIG EAST squads to be either ranked or receive votes in the NSCAA/adidas listing, one of seven conference teams to be recognized by College Soccer News and one of eight to garner acclaim from SoccerTimes.com.
The Orange returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. when it takes on #9/13 USF in Tampa.
