SYRACUSE, NY -- The form of the new Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Practice Facility continues to take shape on the northeast side of Manley Field House. The exterior form of the structure is almost complete and work continues on both floors of the inside of the building.
The main practice room is visible and from where twocourts will soon be, a view of the second-floor office frames is obvious. The facility will house the men's and women's basketball staffs and some support staff. State-of-the-art athletic training and strength and conditioning rooms are located adjacent to the practice courts.
The project is still on schedule and is expected to be completed by early October.
Fans can participate in the exterior design of the building by purchasing a paver that will be installed on the northwest entrance to the "Melo" Center. These individually engraved bricks will form the entranceway by which visitors will pass on their way into the building.
