Andy Rautins and his Team Canada teammates defeated the Virgin Islands, 87-67, to remain undefeated in the FIBATournament of the Americas in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Friday triumph improved Team Canada's record to 2-0 in the event.
The squad, coached by former SU standout Leo Rautins, built an 18-point halftime margin, 44-26, and never looked back.
Andy Rautins, who tallied 18 points in the opening win against Mexico, had 11 points in the second outing.
Canada moves on to play Uruguay. The top four finishers in the event will qualify for the 2010 World Championships in Turkey.
