
Tumolo Earns BIG EAST Honor

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Syracuse freshman Michelle Tumolo has been named to the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll released on Monday, April 5. Tumolo helped the eighth-ranked Orange to a 17-11 win against No. 18 Boston University last weekend. It is Tumolo's first career appearance on the conference Honor Roll.
Tumolo registered five points on three goals and two assists in Syracuse's win at Boston University. She netted back-to-back goals to tie the score after BU took an early 2-0 lead. She added two assists during the Orange's 7-1 scoring run that gave Syracuse a 10-6 halftime lead. After the Terriers cut the lead to two with 21:03 remaining, Tumolo netted the second of two consecutive Orange goals as it built its lead back to four and it went on to post the 17-11 victory. She is Syracuse's third-leading scorer this season with 38 points. Tumolo, who has at least one assist in every game this season, also ranks second in assists with 22, which is a Syracuse freshman single-season record.
Syracuse returns to BIG EAST play this weekend when it goes on the road to play Connecticut on Friday at 3 p.m. and Notre Dame on Sunday at 1 p.m.
