2010-11 BIG EAST Opponents Announced For Orange

SYRACUSE, NY – The BIG EAST Conferencepairings for the 2010-11 Syracuse men's basketball schedule has been announced by the league. The Orange conference itinerary includes 18 BIG games and features home-and-home series with Georgetown, Seton Hall and Villanova.
For the fourth straight year, each conference team will play the rest of the league members at least once. In addition to Syracuse's two-game sets, the Orange will host Cincinnati, DePaul, Notre Dame, Providence, Rutgers and West Virginia. The road slate includes Connecticut, Louisville, Marquette, Pittsburgh, St. John's and USF.
Eight league members – Georgetown, Louisville, Marquette, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Villanova and West Virginia – earned NCAA Tournament berths last year, tying a single-conference record. Five additional programs – Cincinnati, Connecticut, St. John's, Seton Hall and USF –represented the BIG EAST in the NIT. Thirteen of the 16 BIG EAST Conference squads were selected to either the NCAA Tournament or the NIT.
