The NBA Summer League, which began with games in Orlando, has now moved to Las Vegas. Monday night's action featured the debut of Wes Johnson, the first-round pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Johnson scored 10 points against San Antonio, with two of them coming on a open court dunk off a lob. The T-wolves were without former SU point guard Jonny Flynn, a first-round pick in 2009, who suffered a hip injury during the club's mini-camp.
Darryl Watkins had an impressive outing for the Spurs, tallying six points and six rebounds. Watkins has been busy the past two weeks, suiting up for Dallas, Indiana and now San Antonio.
Donte Greene made his first summer league appearance and helped Sacramento defeat Detroit with 11 points.
Andy Rautins was in action with the New York Knicks for the second time and had a three-pointer in a victory against Los Angeles.
