SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University volleyball team (18-11, 7-6) looks to punch its ticket to the BIG EAST Tournament in its regualr-season finale Sunday afternoon against Notre Dame (15-10, 8-5). First serve at the Women's Building is set for 12:00 p.m.
With a Syracuse win against the Fighting Irish, the Orange would secure a spot in next week's BIG EAST Tournament in Milwaukee. With an SU win and a Villanova loss to Cincinnati (21-8, 11-2), SU would be the four seed.
A loss to Notre Dame would put the Orange in position to finish anywhere from sixth to ninth, with the potential of missing the tournament as the top eight teams participate in the postseason. SU would have to rely upon Louisville (20-7, 12-1) to defeat Georgetown (14-12, 6-7) as the Hoyas own the tie-breaker with SU.
There will be a brief ceremony prior to first serve as the Orange will recognize its three seniors: Noemie Lefebvre, Erin Little and Ashley Williams.
Orange All Access will carry a live stream of the match.
