Twenty-three seniors will be honored for their commitment to the Orange program prior to SU's game against Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov. 26 (12:00 p.m.) in the Carrier Dome . Eighteen student-athletes and five student managers will take the field for a ceremony 20 minutes before kickoff. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the Dome early to honor the group.

Orange Needs One More Win To Become Bowl Eligible
Syracuse can become bowl eligible for the second year in row with a win in one of its last two games. Last year, the Orange earned a berth in the inaugural New Era Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium and defeated Kansas State, 36-34. The last time the Orange reached bowl games in consecutive years was 1998 (Orange Bowl vs. Florida) and 1999 (Music City Bowl vs. Kentucky).
The Series Vs. Cincinnati
Cincinnati leads the all-time series with the Orange, 6-5. However, the Orange beat Cincinnati for the first time in BIG EAST play, 31-17, in 2010. SU scored 17 points off three Bearcat turnovers to key the win. The victory stopped a five-game series winning streak for Cincinnati.
In 2007 against the Bearcats, Andrew Robinson threw for 419 yards, which ranks third on SU's single-game record list, and three touchdown passes. His 29 completions in the contest tied an SU single-game record. In 1998, SU's Donovan McNabb passed for four touchdowns and completed 83.3 percent of his attempts (15-of-18), helping SU score 63 points – the most by either team in the series.
Offensive Analysis
Breaking down SU's offensive numbers this year shows it has run 669 plays (321 rushing, 348 passing). The run game has generated 1,155 yards (115.5 ypg) for an average of 3.6 yards per carry and nine touchdowns. The aerial attack has totaled 2,305 yards, 21 touchdowns and an average of 10.5 yards per completion. Combine the two and Syracuse has accumulated 3,460 yards of total offense and 30 touchdowns for an average of 5.2 yards per play and an average of 25.7 points per game.
Provo Sets Orange Tight Ends Record
Senior tight end Nick Provo set the Syracuse single-season record for receptions by a tight end with his performance at Connecticut on Nov. 5. A Mackey Award semifinalist, which honors the nation's best tight end, Provo has a total of 43 catches this season. The previous record was 34, set by Chris Gedney in 1992. Provo has 84 career receptions, which is seven behind Gedney's Syracuse record of 91. Provo has caught at least one pass in 23 consecutive games, the fifth-longest catch streak in Syracuse history.
Forcing Turnovers
The Orange defense posted a season-high five takeaways at Connecticut on Nov. 5, all of which came in the first half. Safety Phillip Thomas intercepted a pair of passes, while Cory Boatman, Ri'Shard Anderson and Brandon Sharpe each had fumble recoveries. Two of the Husky fumbles were caused by defensive end Chandler Jones. It's was the most forced turnovers by the Orange since it also caused five in the 2005 season opener against West Virginia.
Overall, Syracuse has 20 takeaways this season (11 fumble recoveries, 9 INTs), which is tied for 28th nationally, and has at least one caused turnover in every game. Since Scott Shafer began running the SU defense in 2009, the Orange has forced at least one turnover in 31 of its 35 outings.

SU has had six games decided by one score this season, which ties for fourth nationally with a host of teams.
