THE SERIES
Saturday's game will be the first meeting between Syracuse and Florida in women's lacrosse. The Gators program is in its second season. Florida posted a 10-8 record in its inaugural season in 2010.
155 AND COUNTING
Syracuse's win against Towson was the program's 155th all-time victory. Since its first season in 1998, the Orange has an all-time record of 155-71. Syracuse's .686 winning percentage ranks fifth among all Division I programs.
MURRAY LEADS SU AT TOWSON
Freshman Alyssa Murray recorded her highest scoring game of the season in Syracuse's 11-5 victory against Towson. Murray scored a career-high five points. She posted her first career hat trick with three goals and tied her career high with two assists.
NEWCOMERS ADD SCORING PUNCH
Coming into the season, Syracuse had to replace 65 percent of its offense from a year ago. Several Orange newcomers have helped fill the void. Five freshman and junior college transfer Lauren Welch have all scored this season, accounting for 45 percent of SU's goals.
Katie Webster is Syracuse's leading scorer with 17 points, while Alyssa Murray has six goals and five assists for 11 points.
