SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The BIG EAST matchup between top-ranked Syracuse and Providence from Gillette Stadium on Saturday, April 16 will air live in Central New York on Time Warner Sports. Cox Sports, a regional sports network covering men's and women's athletics in Rhode Island and Connecticut, will produce the telecast, and has agreed to deliver the feed live to Time Warner subscribers in the Syracuse area.
Syracuse and Providence face off at 4 p.m. in the first game of the New England Lacrosse Classic, a doubleheader that also features Dartmouth versus Princeton at 6:30 p.m.
Syracuse is 2-0 all-time against the Friars and 4-0 in games contested in Gillette Stadium, the home of the NFL's New England Patriots.
The addition of Syracuse-Providence to the Cox Sports and Time Warner lineups ensures live television coverage for every Orange lacrosse game for the remainder of the 2011 season.
