Daniels Named To NCAA Regional Team

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Junior Lisaira Daniels was named to the 2011 All-College Station Regional Team for her performances during Syracuse's three games at the NCAA Regional, hosted by Texas A&M from May 20-22.
Throughout the NCAA Regional, Daniels recorded three hits and one sacrifice hit in nine at bats and scored one run. During the first game against LSU, she tallied two hits early on, including a hit to center field that allowed her to reach third base. In the top of the 11th inning, she was intentionally walked to set up Lacey Kohl's game-winning three-run homerun.
Daniels recently received her second consecutive All-Great Lakes Region honors. The Tampa, Fla. native holds program records in career stolen bases (53) and batting percentage (.361). She also ranks second in career on base percentage (.414) and triples (9). Her 24 stolen bases this season rank second in the BIG EAST.
