EUGENE, Ore. – Three members of the Syracuse University track and field team competed in the 2011 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. on Friday, June 24.
Andrew Palmer highlighted the day with a seventh-place finish in the 10,000 meter run. His time of 31:21.61 beat out 13 other runners in the event.
Justin Murray clocked a time of 4:01.97 in the 1,500 meter run to finish 23rd out of 32 competitors.
Second Team All-American Katie Hursey ran the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:46.23 to secure a 32nd-place finish.
Five rising sophomores are set to compete in the junior men's 5,000 meter race tonight (June 25) at 11:30 p.m. EST.
Palmer and Murray, along with Orange teammates Max Straneva, Reed Kamyszek, and John Squeri will represent Syracuse in the 5,000m.
