Future Orange Earns All-America Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Kailah Kempney, who will join the Syracuse women's lacrosse team this fall, has been named to the Under Armour All-America team. Kempney will participate in the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic on Saturday, July 2 at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md.
Kempney recorded 145 points on 118 goals and 27 assists as a senior at Carthage High School. She scored eight goals or more in six games and posted 10 goals in two contests. In her final game, Kempney tallied a game-high nine goals in the Class B sectional title game against Oswego. She helped the Comets to a 13-7 record in 2011.
This fall, Kempney will join a Syracuse squad that posted a 10-8 record this season and won a share of the BIG EAST regular-season title.
