What have you been up to these days?
“Lately I have been working with a computerized basketball system called 94-50. It's a basketball with a chip in it, and it monitors 6,000 moves per second. I have been going around to camps and setting up special events to test ball handling and shooting.”
Coach Boeheim's Fantasy Camp creates a fun atmosphere for all the past players to come back and reunite. How was the week for you?
“It really did create a fun atmosphere. The one thing we all have in common is that we all had the same head coach. It's like a fraternity. We have all been close even before events like this have been going on. Last year when they did “Cuse Cares” for the Haiti disaster, there were about 35 of us that got together within 48 hours. We all received a phone call and jumped in our cars or hopped on a plane. So it is always a great time getting back together.”
Is this your first time in the Carmelo Anthony Basketball Practice Facility?
“I'm from West of Rochester, so every time I go from there to New York City I leave a day early so I can stop by the Melo Center. I really like the facility because it is close to off-campus housing, plus you have everything you need inside – the weight room, the training room, it's phenomenal!”
