SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse women's basketball team (17-12, 6-9 BIG EAST) concludes the regular season on Monday when it takes on Villanova (15-13, 5-10 BIG EAST) at the Pavilion in a 7 p.m. tip.
• SU is tied with Cincinnati for 10th place in the BIG EAST standings at 6-9. The Wildcats sit just behind in a tie with Providence for 12th at 5-10.

• The game can be heard live on SU's flagship station ESPN 97.7 FM/1200 AM and on Orange All-Access at SUathletics.com with Brian Higgins '04 on the call. The game can also be heard on student station WJPZ 89.1 FM.
• Nova Nation All-Access will provide streaming video (fee applies) at Villanova.com.
SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the 53rd meeting all-time between Syracuse and Villanova with the Wildcats holding a 37-15 advantage. Quentin Hillsman is 3-2 against Villanova.
• The Orange won last season's meeting, 70-49, on Feb. 12, 2011 at the Carrier Dome. Kayla Alexander led all scorers with 22 points while Iasia Hemingway contributed 15. SU scored 20 points off 21 Villanova turnovers. The Wildcats were led by Lindsay Kimmel's 21 points on 7-of-15 3-point shooting.
• The Orange is 3-20 all-time at Villanova.
• SU's last win at the Pavilion came on Jan. 19, 2008, 73-60. Chandrea Jones (25 points, 10 rebounds) and Nicole Michael (18 points, 12 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles for the victor.
• The last time the teams met at Villanova was a 69-83 Wildcats win on Feb. 9, 2010. Michael had a huge game for SU with 23 points and 15 rebounds while Carmen Tyson-Thomas added 13. Villanova shot 48 percent from 3-point range, going 13-of-27, led by 28 points from Maria Getty.
SCOUTING VILLANOVA
• The Wildcats are 15-13 overall and 5-10 in the BIG EAST. They come into the game having lost five in a row.
• Most recently, Villanova lost at St. John's, 69-49, on Saturday. Prior to that, the Wildcats dropped games to DePaul, USF, Georgetown and Rutgers.
• Before the five-game skid, Villanova won four out of six, with victories over Penn, Cincinnati, Seton Hall and Providence.
• Villanova has made the second-most 3-pointers in the BIG EAST, behind only DePaul, and has the fourth-best percentage in the conference behind the arc at .330 (225-682).
• Six-two junior forward Laura Sweeney leads the Wildcats in scoring (14.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.8 rpg).
• Harry Perretta is the longest tenured coach in the BIG EAST. Now in his 34th season, he won his 600th career game earlier this season.
LAST TIME OUT
• No. 15/13 Georgetown scored the last five points of the game to hand the Syracuse a 65-62 loss on Saturday at the Carrier Dome.
• Sugar Rodgers converted a 3-point play with 39 seconds left to erase a two-point Orange lead and lead the Hoyas to the win.
• In her last regular season game at the Carrier Dome, senior Iasia Hemingway led the Orange with her fifth double-double of the season. Hemingway finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds on Senior Day. She also matched her career-high with six assists. The Newark, N.J. native notched the 1,500th point of her collegiate career with her first two points of the game. She has scored 893 of her 1,518 career points at SU after transferring from Georgia Tech.
• Sophomore Rachel Coffey finished with 15 points on five three-point field goals. Coffey has had 11 three-point field goals in the past two games. Junior Kayla Alexander recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Alexander also swatted a season-high eight shots.
DOMINATING THE GLASS
• Dominant rebounding has become the norm for the Orange in recent years. As of the last NCAA stats update on Friday, Syracuse ranked fifth in the NCAA in rebounding, averaging 46.1 per game and ranked 11th in rebounding margin, pulling down an average of 9.6 per game more than its opponents.
• In the BIG EAST, SU leads the conference in rebounds per game (46.1), offensive rebounds (20.6) and is third in rebounding margin (+9.4).
• SU has four of the top 20 rebounders in the league (8. Carmen Tyson-Thomas, 7.7; 9. Kayla Alexander, 7.4; 15. Iasia Hemingway, 6.4; and 19. Shakeya Leary, 5.8.
• Syracuse led the NCAA in rebounding margin last season at +13.4 per game. SU outrebounded 31 of its 35 opponents.
STRONG AT THE STRIPE
• An aggressive, attacking style of offense results in the Orange ranking third in the NCAA in free throws made (499) and sixth free throws attempted (651) as of Friday's NCAA update.
• Syracuse ranks second in the BIG EAST in free throw shooting percentage at .762.
• Carmen Tyson-Thomas leads the conference with a .892 mark from the free throw line this season.
• The Orange set a BIG EAST record for most free throws made without in a miss in a game at Providence (1/31) when it went 23-of-23.
• On Jan. 7 at Pitt, The Orange went 34-of-38 (.895) at the line, including Iasia Hemingway setting a school record with 15 free throws in 16 attempts.
ALEXANDER HONORED BY CONFERENCE
• After she scored 23 points in SU's lone game last week, a 79-63 win vs. Marquette, Kayla Alexander was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Feb. 20.
• Alexander shot 11-of-13 (.769) from the floor, grabbed four rebounds and blocked five shots.
• It was Alexander's fourth time being named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll this season. The First-Team All-Conference center also had the honor on Nov. 21, Nov. 28 and Jan. 23.
• It was the seventh BIG EAST weekly award for Syracuse this season.
