Waiters Decides To Pursue Dream

"I've decided to pursue my dream of becoming a professional basketball player by entering my name in the NBA Draft this spring. I plan on signing with an agent.
"I want to thank my coaches and my teammates. I've had an amazing experience at Syracuse University.
"I also want to thank all the Syracuse basketball fans. They are the best in college basketball."

Waiters is coming off a campaign which saw him help the Orange to a school-record 34 wins, the BIG EAST Conference regular-season championship, and an NCAA Tournament berth that ended in the Elite Eight. He was named the BIG EAST Conference Sixth Man of the Year.
He played in all 37 Syracuse games and finished second on the team in scoring average (12.6 ppg.). He led the team in steals average (1.8 spg.)and was third on the club in three-point baskets (41).
