Roosevelt Bouie, a member of the Syracuse University All-Century team that was selected in 2000, will be the inaugural inductee in the Kendall Central Schools Athletic Hall of Fame. The ceremony is scheduled for June 6 at the Hickory Ridge Banquet House in Holley.

He arrived at Syracuse University in 1976, Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim's first season at the helm. Bouie accumulated 1,560 career points and still ranks tied for 16th in that category with the Orange. He led the team in scoring as a junior and senior, averaging 15.2 and 16.1 points per game, respectively.
When he graduated from SU, Bouie ranked third in career rebounding (987) and he still holds the seventh spot. He was teh squad's top rebounder as a sophomore (8.8) and junior (8.6).
Bouie had 327 blocks in his collegiate tenure and topped the team in blocks all four of his seasons.
He was one half of one of the most recognizeable "duos" in college basketball, joining with forward Louis Orr to form the "Louie and Bouie" show.
The Orange earned berths in the NCAA Tournament all four years Bouie was in the lineup. SU posted records of 26-4, 22-6, 26-4 and 26-5 records during those campaigns.
Bouie was the 34th overall pick in the 1980 draft, going in the second round to the Dallas Mavericks. He opted to play in Europe instead and spent 13 seasons in professional basketball overseas.
