BALTIMORE, Md. – Four members of the Syracuse women's lacrosse incoming recruiting class took part in the Under Armour All-America Game on Saturday, June 30 in Towson, Md. Erica Bodt (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) and Kelly Cross (Oreland, Pa./Upper Dublin) were members of the South team, while Kayla Treanor (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna)and Caroline Webster (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) played for the North squad. The South defeated the North, 25-13.
Bodt started for the South and recorded an unassisted goal at the 25:10 mark, which gave the South a 3-1 lead. She also had an assist, one ground ball, two draw controls and a caused turnover. Cross came off the bench for the South and scored with 19:11 to play. She finished with one ground ball and two caused turnovers.
Treanor was part of the starting 12 for the North and found the back of the net at the 4:05 mark of the first half. She also had one ground ball and tied for the team lead with three draw controls. Webster added an assist and a draw control for the North.
The South broke open the game midway through the first half, using a 9-2 scoring run to take a 17-8 halftime lead. The South tallied the first three goals of the second half and led by as many as 13.
