Syracuse's 2012 Indoor Track and Field NCAA Champion, Jarret Eaton, has won the Donald J. Paige Award which was presented by the Niagara Track and Field Hall of Fame. The award honored the most outstanding NCAA Division I College Male Athlete of the Year in or from the Niagara Association and was presented at the inaugural award presentation on Saturday, Sept. 8th.
Eaton had one of the most decorated Orange track careers while he competed at Syracuse from 2008-12. The Abington, Pa. native became the first Syracuse individual track and field NCAA Champion with his first place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. He holds two school records, in the indoor 60-m hurdles (7.49 seconds) and outdoor 110-m hurdles (13.44 seconds).
Eaton also claimed the BIG EAST title in the outdoor 100-m hurdles (2010), the indoor 60-m hurdles (2012) and the outdoor 100-m hurdles (2012).
