SYRACUSE, N.Y. -Â In its third game of a four-game homestand, Syracuse women's basketball (3-0) hosts Maryland Eastern Shore (1-2) on Wednesday in a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Carrier Dome.
• Syracuse opened the season with a 69-65 victory at Washington State of the Pac-10 on Nov. 10, before beating Dartmouth in the home opener at the Carrier Dome on Thursday, 88-47, and then cruising by Cornell, 89-48, at home on Monday.
• The Orange, under eighth-year head coach Quentin Hillsman, is looking to build off one of the most successful seasons in program history as it makes its debut in the ACC. The 2012-13 Syracuse squad went 24-8 (.750) overall, the best winning percentage in the NCAA era of the program, advanced to its fifth NCAA Tournament, and finished the year ranked 22nd in both major polls.

DOME SWEET DOME
• SU has a record of 78-32 (.709) in 110 games in the Carrier Dome since moving there full-time in 2006-07.
• SU is off to a 2-0 start at home in 2013-14 after it went 13-1 at home last season, tied for its best home winning percentage in program history. The Orange also went 13-1 in 1987-88.
• SU outscored its opponents at home by an average margin of 24.2 points last season.

NON-CONFERENCE HOME STREAK
• Syracuse has won 55 non-conference home games in a row, dating back to the 2006-07 season, Quentin Hillsman's first season as head coach at SU. He is 57-5 in his career in such games.
• The Orange went 6-0 last season in out-of-conference play at the Dome.
• SU's last non-conference home loss was on Dec. 22, 2006 to Canisius (56-43).
• In 2010-11 SU was 14-0, 12-0 in 2009-10, 8-0 in 2008-09, and 7-0 in 2007-08.
SERIES HISTORY
• Syracuse is 3-0 all-time against Maryland Eastern Shore, with the most recent meeting being in 2010-11.
• Quentin Hillsman is a perfect 3-0 vs. the Lady Hawks.
• On Dec. 1, 2010 at the Carrier Dome, sophomore Kayla Alexander poured in 27 points on 9-of-9 shooting as SU beat UMES, 73-50. Iasia Hemingway (20 points, 12 rebounds) and Carmen Tyson-Thomas (10 points, 13 rebounds) each had double doubles.
• SU's other wins were 85-56 at home on Dec. 9, 2007 and a 68-28 win on the road on Nov. 16, 2008.

SCOUTING THE LADY HAWKS
• Maryland Eastern Shore is 1-2 on the season. The MEAC member opened the season with a 87-83 loss vs. SC Upstate before losing at American, 76-69. The Lady Hawks are coming off a 68-45 win at UMBC on Saturday.
• Junior guard Jessica Long is the top scorer at 18.7 points per game. SHe had a season-high 28 at American.
• Sophomore guard Teamber Burke is averaging 14.7 points per game. She scored 23 at American, going 6-of-10 from 3-point range, while junior guard Shawnee Sweeney is coming off a 22-point effort at UMBC that saw her shoot 7-of-15 behind the arc.

ORANGE BLASTS BIG RED
• Brittney Sykes recorded her second consecutive 20-point game to lead the Orange past Cornell, 89-48 on Monday evening in the Carrier Dome. Sykes scored 23 points, stole the ball five times and dished out six assists in her efforts against the Big Red (2-1).
• Sykes matched her career high in steals and set a new personal best in assists. She also contributed eight rebounds, seven on offense.
• Shakeya Leary recorded her third consecutive double-double of the season, scoring 10 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Brianna Butler scored 13 points including nine off 3-point shooting.

NOVEMBERS TO REMEMBER
• With its three wins to start this season, Syracuse has run its winning streak in the month of November to 27 games. SU went 7-0 in November in 2012-13, its fourth-straight undefeated November.
• Since 2007, Syracuse is 32-3 (.914) in November. It has not lost since Nov. 26, 2008 at Alaska-Anchorage, 58-57.
ORANGE PICKED 7TH IN ACC
• Syracuse was picked to finish seventh in its first Atlantic Coast Conference season in preseason polls announced by the ACC at its Media Day on Oct. 23. The Orange was seventh in both the Blue Ribbon Panel poll and the coaches poll.
• Defending conference champion Duke was picked to first in both polls. The Blue Devils, who return all five starters, 11 letterwinners and top seven scorers from last season's team that finished 33-3 and reached the regional final of the 2013 NCAA Women's Championship, were listed as this year's preseason favorite by 39 Blue Ribbon Panel voters.
LOOKING AHEAD
• Syracuse closes out its homestand on Sunday when Maine comes to the Dome for a 1 p.m. tip in what will be the Orange last home contest until Dec. 16.
