SYRACUSE, N.Y.--The Syracuse ice hockey team closes out its 2013 portion of the season at home against CHA foe Lindenwood on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. These games are the last in a six-game homestand for the Orange.

LINDENWOOD NOTES
• Lindenwood is looking to improve its road play this weekend, especially on defense. The Lady Lions are allowing 4.4 goals a game on the road, compared to 2.9 goals a game at home.
• Lindenwood set its season-high in shots with 35 in game one against Penn State, and then broke that mark with 37 the next day. The Lady Lions also allowed a season-low 23 shots in game one of that series.
• Jocelyn Slattery has been Lindenwood's top player this season. She enters play this week riding a four-game point streak. She has a +3 plus/minus in that span, and is a +2 on the season. Slattery leads the team with five goals in 2013-14.
• Kendra Broad has scored a point in three out of the last four games. She leads the team this season with five assists and eight points.
• Nicole Hensley is the main Lion goalie with a 3.66 goals against average and .909 save percentage.

SU FALLS TO NO. 3 CORNELL
• The Orange took an early 2-0 lead in the first period but ultimately fell to No. 3 Cornell, 5-2 on Tuesday night at the Onondaga War Memorial.
• Julie Knerr opened scoring and Margot Scharfe also notched a goal to give Syracuse the two-point lead but the Big Red scored three goals in the second period to get past the Orange.
• With the loss, SU evened its record at 7-7-2. Senior goalie Kallie Billadeau dropped to a 3-7-2 record on the season after her 40-save performance against the Big Red.

HOME SWEET HOME
• Syracuse takes on the second CHA opponent of the season at home in Tennity Ice Pavilion this Friday and Saturday against Lindenwood.
• All-time, Syracuse is 36-38-6 at Tennity and 2-2-0 at the Onondaga War Memorial, which adds up to a .464 winning percentage.
• So far this season Syracuse has a 3-3-1 record at home, defeating No. 4/3 Boston College, Union and Colgate. They also tied with Robert Morris.
• The Orange tallied a 10-8-0 overall record in Syracuse last season, including a 6-4-0 conference record at Tennity Ice Pavilion.
• SU has had a winning home record just three times in program history, going 6-5-1 in 2008-09 and 9-8-3 in 2010-11.

SPECIAL TEAMS SUCCESS
• Syracuse ranks tenth nationally in penalty killing, stopping opponents from scoring 87.8 percent of the time. This ranks second in the CHA behind Robert Morris, which is successful in man-down situations 89.7 percent of the time and ranks sixth in the nation.
• The Orange went on a streak of 16 successful penalty kills spanning five games until Cornell notched a man-down goal on Tuesday.
• SU went on another four game streak of preventing opponent power play goals earlier this season, stopping 27 consecutive man-down situations. Penn State broke the streak, notching a power play goal in its first opportunity on Nov. 9.
• Senior goaltenders Kallie Billadeau and Jenesica Drinkwater have combined to save 107-117 man-up shots taken by SU opponents so far this season (.915).
