Lennon Takes Second at USA Track and Field Championship

DES MOINES, Iowa - At the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship, freshman Daniel Lennon raced to a second place finish in the men's junior 10,000m run. Lennon's  time of 31:35.81 secured him a spot representing the United States at the 2013 Pan Am Junior Championships in August in Medellin, Columbia. Freshman Brianna Nerud will also compete for USA after finishing first in the junior 3000m women's steeplechase. Â

Joel Hubbard and Donald Pollitt also competed at the meet. In the men's junior 1500m final, Hubbard finished in 12th place with a time of 4:06.35. Â Pollitt finished 23rd in the 110m hurdles semifinals with a time of 13.68. Pollitt, a USTFCCCA First Team All-American, finished sixth in the 2013 NCAA Championship in the 110m hurdles.
