SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After coming from behind to tie No. 18 Duke last Sunday, Syracuse is looking to get its first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) victory Thursday, Sept. 26 against Clemson at the SU Soccer Stadium. Opening kick is set for 7 p.m. Admission is free.
With the draw on Sunday, the Orange now has a record of 4-5-1 and is 0-3-1 in the ACC. Clemson enters Thursday's game at 5-2-2 overall (2-1 ACC) and are winless on the road (0-0-2).
DOMINANT AT HOME
Syracuse has yet to lose a game at home this season (4-0-1) and the team aims to keep that streak alive Thursday night. The Orange has recorded two shutouts and only allowed three goals, one against Fairleigh Dickinson and two against Duke. Last season the team was just as dominant, posting a 5-1-1 at the SU Soccer Stadium.
THE SERIES
Thursday's game will mark the first time in program history that the Orange and Tigers meet on the soccer pitch. Both teams are coming off strong matches as Clemson routed Alabama A&M last Sunday, 14-0.
