SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse faces its fifth ranked opponent in its last six games when it hosts No. 9 Wake Forest on Sunday, Sept. 29. Opening kick is set for 12 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Admission is free of charge.
The Orange enters the game with a 4-6-1 overall mark and a 0-4-1 record in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), while the Demon Deacons are 7-2-1 in 2013 and 2-2-1 in ACC action.
THE SERIES
Sunday's contest marks the second time Syracuse and Wake Forest have met on the soccer pitch. The teams first met in 2006 when the Demon Deacons defeated the Orange, 4-0.
ORANGE AT HOME
Syracuse had its five-game home unbeaten streak snapped on Thursday against Clemson. The Orange is now 4-1-1 at the SU Soccer Stadium this season.
UP NEXT...
Syracuse will have seven days before it takes the field again. The Orange goes to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 6.
