SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse men's soccer team (2-1-0) looks to rebound from its first loss of the season when it entertains Manhattan (0-2-0) Monday, Sept. 9 in an intra-state battle at the SU Soccer Stadium. The Orange and Jaspers kick off at 7 p.m. in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
Â
The match will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel in SU's second television appearance of the season. Live video and stats are available at SUAthletics.com. Admission is free.

NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
Syracuse is 9-2-0 the past two seasons against non-conference opponents. Last year, SU steamrolled through the non-conference portion of the regular season, posting a 7-2-0 record.
Â
The Orange has outscored its non-league foes by the count of 29-5 and recorded nine shutouts, including two this season, during that stretch.
Â
#ORANGENATION
The Orange has ranked in the top 50 nationally in home attendance in six of the last seven seasons, averaging almost 900 fans per game during that span.
Â
Syracuse achieved its highest attendance ranking in school history (No. 20) in 2012. At least 1,000 fans attended seven of the team's eight home matches last year.
Â
SU's 2013 home opener against Hartwick attracted a crowd of 1,633, the third-largest crowd in SU Soccer Stadium history.
Â
SCOUTING THE JASPERS
Manhattan is 0-2-0 this season, losing to Army (2-0) and Delaware (3-2). Dan Laguna Kennedy scored both goals for the Jaspers against the Blue Hens, while Eli Bunton has recorded the team's lone assist.
Â
Alex Coates McDowall has played all 180 minutes in goal for Manhattan, making seven saves and allowing five goals through two games.
Â
Jorden Scott is in his first year as head coach of the Jaspers after spending three seasons as a Manhattan assistant.
