NEW YORK, N.Y.—The Syracuse track and field team began its 2014 indoor season at the New York City Gotham Cup on Friday. Seven SU athletes had top-three performances including a win in the women's triple jump.

Freshman Regine Hunter had the only gold medal performance for the Orange, taking first in the triple jump with a leap of 12.55 meters in her first event of her collegiate career.

Shaina Harrison and Sabrina Cammock had second- and third-place performances in the 60 meter dash, respectively. Harrison finished with a time of 7.49, seven seconds shy of her personal best while Cammock ran it the fastest she has in her three years at 'Cuse (7.64).

On the men's side, Jaquan Holland finished in fifth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.85 and Donald Pollitt jumped his way to a second place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (7.90).

Molly Malone finished in second place in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:57.10 and Rebecca Robinson took third in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 56.28 seconds.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team took third place with a time of 3:54.07 and Jaquan Holland took fourth in the 400 meter race (48.78).

Reggie Morton rounded out competition on the men's side with a 10th place finish in the long jump (6.70 meters).
