Pollitt Named ACC Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C.—Donald Pollitt has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Men's Performer of the Week following his efforts in last weekend's 120th Penn Relays, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Pollitt posted an ACC-leading time of 13.73 in the 110-meter hurdles, taking second place in a field of 25 runners. His time ranks 11th nationally and fourth in the East region this season. Pollitt was an Individual ACC Champion in the event two weekends ago, his first outdoor conference title. Last season, Pollitt earned a spot on the USTFCCCA All-American First Team for his performance in the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Championships.

This is the first-ever ACC Track and Field Performer of the Week selection for Syracuse though teammate Martin Hehir was twice the ACC Cross Country Male Performer of the Week last fall.

The Orange continue competition on Friday, May 2-Saturday, May 3 at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational and on Sunday, May 4 at the Payton Jordan Invitational, hosted by Stanford.
