Former Syracuse standouts Carmelo Anthony and Michael Carter-Williams will lead their respective teams in an NBA preseason game between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers in the Carrier Dome on Tuesday, October 14.
Anthony, a consensus All-American as a freshman at Syracuse in 2002-03, is preparing for his 12th NBA season and has accumalted 17,646 career points. Michael Carter-Williams was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2013-14.
The Philadelphia 76ers lineup should also include former Orange preformer Jerami Grant, who was selected in the 2014 NBA Draft.
"We are extremely excited to get the season underway and see our young players in action," said Sixers CEO Scott O'Neil. "In addition to giving our fans a chance to get an early glimpse of our exciting team this preseason, we're thrilled to re-engage our friendly rivalry with the Knicks in Syracuse."
The contest is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff in the Carrier Dome. Ticket information will be announced at a future date.
