For the second meet of the season, Syracuse will be facing off against other local New York teams. They will be competing in the Cornell Upstate Challenge against Albany, Army, Binghamton, Buffalo, Cornell, Cortland, and Ithaca College.
Â
Coming off a strong performance at the Gotham Classic, Donald Pollitt, who finished second in the 60 meter hurdle with a time of 7.79 seconds, is looking to repeat the success. Also performing well for the Orange is Sophomore Reggie Morton, who finished the 60 meter dash in 7.09 seconds.
Â
On the women's side, the Orange had two women place in the top six of the 60 meter hurdle. Both Tia Thevenin [8.69] and Danielle Delgado [8.71] were top competitors for the Orange, and will be aiming to have a similar performance in the Cornell Upstate Challenge. Senior Bria Goodson, who placed in the top five in the 400 meter, will be running the event again this weekend.
Action gets underway on Saturday and continues through Sunday evening.
