Boeheim's 40th Season Highlighted At Media Day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse men's basketball team completed another annual rite of the preseason with the program's media day on Friday in the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center.
Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim, who is entering his 40th season as the head of the program, addressed the media and answered questions about the team's prospects for the upcoming campaign.
Graduate students Trevor Cooney and Michael Gbinije highlighted the group of key veterans in this season's lineup. Meanwhile, some new faces experienced their first sessions with the media, including freshmen guards Franklin Howard, Malachi Richardson, and forward Tyler Lydon.

Following media day, the team will participate in Orange Madness in the Carrier Dome. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. Tickets for the general public are $5. Fans can also watch on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
Syracuse opens its season with an exhibition game on Monday, Nov. 2 against Le Moyne at 7:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
