Orange Takes on Eagles in Regular-Season Finale

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- No. 12/-- Syracuse looks to finish out its regular season schedule strong as it travels to Chestnut Hill to face No. RV/25 Boston College. The final game of regular-season play for both teams is slated to kickoff at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 30. The match will be played at the Newton Campus Lacrosse and Soccer Field.

SCOUTING THE ORANGE (10-4-2, 3-3-1 ACC)
After a week of rest and practice, the Orange looks to secure a road victory in its final regular-season match before ACC Tournament play. Syracuse is coming off a 2-1 conference victory against NC State at the SU Soccer Stadium last Friday. The Orange rallied from a one-goal deficit to secure the victory with goals from juniors Ben Polk and Louis Cross. Polk and sophomore Julian Buescher (Duelmen, Germany) are in a four-way tie for third for most goals in the ACC with seven apiece. Buescher leads the ACC in points with 21 and is tied for second in assists with seven.
The Orange climbed three spots to No. 12 in the coaches poll (NSCAA) and moved up to No. 10 in RPI.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES (8-5-1, 3-4-0 ACC)
The Eagles boast a record of 5-2-0 at home. The two losses at home came against Loyola Marymount and Wake Forest. Boston College has lost each its last three games by one goal. The Boston College offensive unit is led by junior Zeiko Lewis. Lewis leads the Eagles with 16 points on five goals and six assists. Freshmen Simon Enstrom (6g, 2a) and Trevor Davock (4g, 4a) have also reached double figures in points this season.
SERIES HISTORY
The Orange and the Eagles meet for the 27th time on Friday. Boston College leads the series 15-10-1. The last time the two teams met, Syracuse came away with a 2-1 victory in double overtime in the final match of the 2014 regular season.
UP NEXT…
Syracuse gears up for ACC Tournament play. The first round is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4 at on-campus sites. The seeding will be released following the outcome of the Pittsburgh at Notre Dame on Saturday, October 31, marking the conclusion of the ACC regular season.
