'Cuse Brings 'Stay In To Win' Message To Ed Smith School

The Syracuse men's basketball team visited local Ed Smith School and presented a "Stay In To Win" program to students on November 12.
The presentation was developed in conjunction with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). It connects college coaches and players with middle and high school students in an attempt to motivate and encourage the students.Â
Coach Boeheim and his squad participated in the Ed Smith School event. After the entire team and staff introduced itself, five players spoke to the students on specific topics:
Syracuse opens the regular-season portion of its 2015-16 campaign on Friday, November 13, when the Orange host Lehigh at the Carrier Dome. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

- Freshman Tyler Lydon talked about working hard to achieve goals;Â
- Senior DaJuan Coleman referenced being part of a successful team;
- Graduate student Michael Gbinije spoke about making good decisions;
- Freshman Malachi Richardson informed the audience about being a good student and athlete
