Men's Rowing Competes at Princeton Chase

Top boats place 13th in varsity eight and four races
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Syracuse University men's rowing team participated in its second event of the fall season on Sunday at the Princeton Chase. Syracuse placed 13th in the men's varsity eight, the main race of the event.

The Orange sent seven crews to Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J. Two SU crews competed in the varsity eight. Those two boats were then broken up into four separate crews for the varsity four. Syracuse also competed in the freshman eight.

In the varsity eight, the Syracuse A boat placed 13th out of 51 competitors. The Orange covered the 3-mile course in 13:30.176. The B crew finished in 25th place, recording a time of 13:52.753.

SU's top boat in the varsity four placed 13th among 32 crews, finishing in 15:39.534. The B boat finished four spots back in 15:52.286.

Syracuse's freshman eight crew placed eighth in its respective race. The Orange covered the course in 14:17.783.

The Orange will conclude its fall season at the Cornell Head Race on Saturday.
