SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange football team (3-8, 1-6 ACC) wraps up the 2015 season on Saturday, Nov. 28 when it hosts Boston College (3-8, 0-7 ACC). Kickoff is slated for 12:30 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. Fans are encouraged to be at the stadium by noon to recognize the Orange seniors in a ceremony before the game.
Tickets are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). Discounted group tickets (20 or more) can be purchased by calling 315-443-3212.
The game will be broadcast on the Regional Sports Networks with Wes Durham (pbp), James Bates (analyst), and Jenn Hildreth (sideline) on the call.
In its last game, Syracuse lost at NC State, 42-29, on Nov. 21. Freshman running back Jordan Fredericks ran for 86 yards on the day, including a 75-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The Orange also tallied its fourth defensive touchdown of the season when Oliver Vigille scooped up a Wolfpack fumble and ran it in for a score late in the game.
Boston College lost to Notre Dame, 19-16, on Nov. 22 in its last contest. The Eagles recorded five takeaways against the Fighting Irish, the most for a BC squad since its 2013 season opener. The game was played at the Boston Red Sox's home stadium, Fenway Park.
Head coach Scott Shafer will coach his final contest at the helm of the Syracuse program on Saturday afternoon. Shafer has guided the Orange to a 13-23 overall record and a victory in the 2013 Texas Bowl in his three seasons.

Saturday is Senior Day in the Carrier Dome. Twenty-three members of the program will be recognized for their contributions to prior to the contest.

SYRACUSE-BOSTON COLLEGE CONNECTIONS
The Orange features two players from Massachusetts. Rony Charles (Medford) and Shyheim Cullen (Lowell) both hail from the commonwealth.
Four players on the Boston College football roster are from the state of New York. Sherman Alston (Harlem), Jordan Gowins (Bellport), John Phillips (Phoenix), and Tyler Rouse (Baldwinsville) are Empire State natives.
Syracuse senior offensive lineman Nick Robinson, junior safety Eric Anthony, and junior safety Joe Stanard all played with Boston College junior running back Tyler Rouse at C.W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
Orange senior punter Riley Dixon, junior tight end Cameron MacPherson and Boston College freshman offensive lineman John Phillips all played high school football at Christian Brothers Academy, just around the corner from the Syracuse University campus.
Third-year Boston College head coach Steve Addazio coached the Syracuse offensive line and tight ends from 1995-98. During Addazio's four-year stint, SU posted a 35-14 overall record and went 23-5 against BIG EAST competition.
Addazio's son, Louie, spent two seasons (2011-12) as a member of the Syracuse football program. He transferred to Boston College in 2013 to join his father.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Boston College owns the nation's top-ranked defense. Opponents average 255.6 yards of total offense against the Eagles, which is the top mark in the country. BC also ranks No. 1 in rushing defense, yielding just 77.2 yards per game and five total touchdowns on the ground.
Boston College is one of 13 teams nationally to play four different quarterbacks this season (Syracuse is also one of the 13) . In addition, BC is one of two teams in the country to start four different quarterbacks. Jeff Smith and Troy Flutie have seen the most time, appearing in eight games. John Fadule has the best passing numbers with 38 completions and 464 yards. Smith is the squad's top rusher with 333 yards and six TDs on the ground.
Junior running back Tyler Rouse is second on the club in rushing with 315 yards and five scores. As a senior at C.W. Baker High School, he ran for 2,977 yards and scored 45 touchdowns en route to Gatorade Player of the Year honors for New York state.
Junior linebacker Steven Daniels is Boston College's leading tackler, recording 75 stops. Daniels averages 1.5 tackles for loss per game, which ranks fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference and 15th nationally.Â
THE BOSTON COLLEGE SERIES
Saturday's game marks the 49th meeting in the series. Syracuse enters the game with a 29-19 edge in the rivalry and the two sides have split the last 10 pairings.
In 2013, BC's last trip to the Carrier Dome, Syracuse defeated the Eagles to clinch bowl eligibility. The Orange won 34-31. Tight end Josh Parris hauled in an 8-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Terrel Hunt with six seconds remaining in regulation to secure the win.
Syracuse and Boston College's last meeting as members of the BIG EAST Conference was a memorable one. Syracuse defeated BC, 43-17, on Nov. 27, 2004. Diamond Ferri stole the show, rushing for 141 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned an interception for a score on defense. Ferri was named the BIG EAST Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts, becoming the first player in conference history to take home both honors in the same week.
