SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse and Colgate will meet for the 168th time on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Opening tip in the Carrier Dome is set for 7 p.m.

DOME SWEET DOME
Tuesday's contest begins a stretch where the Orange will play three of its next four games at home. The Orange has only played four of its first eight games in the Carrier Dome, where it was 13-5 last season.

GBINIJE CONTINUES TO LEAD ORANGE IN SCORING
Graduate student Michael Gbinije leads the team and ranks third in the ACC in scoring, averaging 20.0 points per game. He was 7-for-16 from the field for a team-high 23 points at Georgetown. It marked the fourth time this season that Gbinije has tallied 20 or more points in a game.

DEFENSIVE DUO
Graduate students Michael Gbinije and Trevor Cooney continue to lead the ACC in steals. Gbinije leads the way, averaging 2.88 per game, while Cooney is right behind with a 1.75 average. The pair have helped the Orange limit its opponents to 65.8 points per game.

LONG-TIME FOES MEET
Syracuse and Colgate first met on January 15, 1902, which resulted in a 33-8 victory for the Orange. Syracuse has won 122 of the previous 167 games between the Central New York foes, including the last 49 meetings, which is the longest active streak in Division I. The Raiders' last victory against the Orange was a 67-63 win on Feb. 24, 1962. In last season's meeting, Trevor Cooney scored 20 points to lead Syracuse to a 78-43 victory.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Colgate enters Tuesday's game on a two-game losing streak and a 2-5 overall record. Austin Tillotson leads the Raiders in scoring, averaging 12.7 points per game. He also leads the squad in assists with 38. Malcolm Regisford is Colgate's leading rebounder, pulling down 6.6 per contest.
