Orange Gets Rematch with Eagles in ACC Quarters

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse will be the No. 6 seed in the 2015 ACC Women's Lacrosse Tournament and will face No. 3 seed Boston College in the quarterfinals on Thursday, April 23 in Charlottesville, Va. The squads will meet in the final game of the day at 6 p.m.

The teams played on February 28 in the Carrier Dome. The Eagles overcame an early 3-0 deficit to defeat the Orange, 10-9. It was Boston College's first win against Syracuse in 13 tries.

The winner of the Syracuse-Boston College game will take on the winner between No. 2 seed Duke and No. 7 Louisville in the second semifinal on Friday, April 24. North Carolina earned the tournament No. 1 seed after claiming the regular-season title. The Tar Heels will face No. 8 seed Virginia Tech in the first quarterfinal on Thursday at 11 a.m. No. 4 seed Virginia and No. 5 Notre Dame will meet in the second quarterfinal at 1 p.m. The winners of those two games will play in the first semifinal on Friday at 1 p.m.

The championship game of the tournament is slated for Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m. The winner of that game will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
