Wilson played on the Ireland U21 national team with Emma Russell
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Over the coming weeks Syracuse University head field hockey coach Ange Bradley is announcing the program's 2015 signing class. Be sure the check Cuse.com as the Orange unveils its incoming class one-by-one.

In today's edition, Bradley is happy to announce the addition of Zoe Wilson, a midfielder from Antrim, Ireland.

"Zoe plays for the Ireland U21 national team and is a fantastic competitor and athlete," commented Bradley. "She serves as the captain for the Ireland U18 national team and is a steady midfielder with the U21 team.

Wilson comes to Syracuse University from Ballyclare Grammar School, where she was coached under Dr. Michelle Rainey. A five-year starter, she led her team in goals scored each of the past two seasons. Each of the past three years, Wilson has led Ballyclare to an appearance in the Senior Schools Cup semifinals, as well.

"I chose Syracuse for the combination of excellent academics and first-class field hockey," stated Wilson. "The moment I stepped onto campus and met the coaches and team, I knew that Syracuse was the right fit for me."

As previously stated, Wilson has already had success on the international level. She joined the Irish U16 team in 2010 and served as the club's captain in 2012. Wilson also has played with the U18 and U21 national squads. Last year, Wilson played side-by-side with All-American and current Orange Emma Russell on the U21 national team.

We expect Zoe to contribute immediately in our back five," added Bradley. "I am excited to have her join our Syracuse family."

The daughter of Debbie and Robert, Wilson also played on the Ballyclare Grammar School badminton team.
