- The Syracuse field hockey team is one of four teams nationally that's off to a perfect start through the first four weeks.
- In addition to the Orange, ACC foe #4 Virginia, #1 UConn and #14 Delaware are also perfect on the year.

Seniors Lead Active Players
- Senior Emma Russell is one of the NCAA's top-active players in scoring.
- She ranks second among active players in points (117) and goals (48), behind just Paula Heuser of Albany in both (133 points, 54 goals).
- Russell also is fifth in points per game (1.63).
- Goalkeeper Jess Jecko is fifth in career goals against average among active players (1.37).

'Cuse vs. Virginia
- SU is 1-3 all-time against Virginia.
- 'Cuse's lone victory against Virginia came in the Orange's only home game against the then No. 4 Cavaliers, a 4-1 win on Oct. 5, 2013.
- Emma Russell is the only current Orange player to have a career point against the Cavaliers, having recorded an assist in Syracuse's victory over the Cavaliers two years ago.
- In two career games against Virginia, Jess Jecko has made nine saves and allowed four goals.

'Cuse vs. Boston University
- 'Cuse holds a 10-5 record all-time against BU.
- SU comes into Sunday's meeting with BU with the longest winning streak in series history for either side, having won the last four matchups between the two teams. The Orange has outscored the Terriers 9-4 over that stretch.
- In the 15 matchups between the two programs, Syracuse has outscored Boston 21-19.
- During her freshman year, Emma Russell scored a goal against then No. 12 Boston in a 2-0 win (9/9/2012). She is the only current member of the Orange to have a career point against BU.
- Jess Jecko recorded five saves and allowed just one goal in a 2-1 victory over then No. 17 Boston in the 2014 NCAA Tournament (11/15/2014).
