SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Syracuse women's soccer team is scheduled to take on Buffalo on Sunday afternoon, traveling to take on the Bulls in a non-conference contest at noon.

Syracuse (2-3-0) is coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 25 Connecticut while Buffalo (2-2-0) lost its last game to St. Bonaventure by the final score of 2-0. The Orange are 5-0-1 overall against Buffalo and have outscored the Bulls 17-6 through six matches.

"We are coming off a tough, physical game against a good opponent in UConn," head coach Phil Wheddon said. "We will have to be ready to take on another top 50 RPI team in Buffalo who has gotten a lot better."

The Bulls finished the 2013 season with a 6-9-3 record before turning it around under first year head coach Shawn Burke in 2014, going 16-3-3 and winning the Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship.

For Syracuse, sophomore Courtney Brosnan had another stellar performance in net last game despite the 1-0 loss. Brosnan made seven saves on eight shots coming her way. Offensively, graduate student Alexis Koval leads the Orange with two goals and three assists for seven total points.

Buffalo has only scored four goals thus far this season. Julia Benati has one goal and an assist to lead the Bulls. Laura Dougall has started every game for Buffalo in net, garnering a 2-2-0 overall record with a .800 save percentage.
