SYRACUSE, N.Y. --Â Syracuse takes on Clemson in its first ACC home game of the season on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Tip off in the Carrier Dome is set for 8 p.m.

TOP FIVE STORYLINES
ORANGE LOOKS TO SNAP LOSING STREAK
Syracuse is still looking for its first conference win of the season after a pair of losses on the road at Pittsburgh and Miami. Both games were decided in the final five minutes. Syracuse and Miami were tied at 44-44 with 5:15 left to play before the Hurricanes outscored the Orange 20-7 in the final five minutes to post a 64-51 victory. In its league opener at Pitt on Wednesday, Syracuse was outscored 14-2 in the final three minutes in a 72-61 setback. The Orange is now 10-5 overall and 0-2 in league play.

RICHARDSON RECORDS CAREER HIGHS
Freshman Malachi Richardson led the Orange with a career-high 20 points at Miami. He also converted a season-best five three-pointers on six attempts. Richardson has reached double figures in scoring in 12 of 15 games this season and ranks third on the team in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game.

GBINIJE EXTENDS STREAK
Michael Gbinije hit a free throw with 31 seconds remaining to give him 10 points against the Hurricanes. He has now reached double figures in scoring in every game this season. Gbinije leads the team and ranks third in the ACC in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game.

SCOUTING CLEMSON
Clemson defeated Florida State, 84-75, on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak. The win improved the Tigers' record to 8-6 overall and 1-1 in ACC play. Clemson is 7-2 on its home court this season and 0-3 on the road. Jaron Blossomgame ranks in the top 20 in the ACC in both scoring and rebounding. He is averaging 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, both of which lead the team.

THE SERIES
Tuesday's game will be the fifth all-time meeting between Syracuse and Clemson. The Tigers have won three of the four meetings, including last year's tilt in South Carolina, 66-53. The Orange's lone win against Clemson was a 57-44 victory in the Carrier Dome on Feb. 9, 2014.
