ORANGE RETURN TO WINNING WAYS
Syracuse snapped its two-game losing streak with a 1-0 victory against No. 15 Virginia Tech last Friday night at the SU Soccer Stadium. Senior Sergio Camargo (Cucuta, Colombia) scored an unassisted goal in the 64th minute for the game winner. It was his first goal as a member of the Orange. The win improved Syracuse's record to 9-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in ACC action.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Hartford defeated Vermont, 1-0, on Saturday to snap a four-match winless streak. The Hawks enter Tuesday's match with a 5-6-3 overall record and a 1-1-2 mark in America East play.
Â
Hartford features a balanced offense as eight different players have scored at least one goal. Udi Cohen leads the team with eight points on two goals and a squad-best four assists. Andri Jonasson and Jeff Tryon have three goals apiece. Jimmy Slayton has played the majority of minutes in goal for the Hawks. He has a .084 goals-against average and a .804 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse and Hartford will meet for just the second time on Tuesday. Last season, the teams played to a 2-2 tie at the SU Soccer Stadium. The Orange had the lead twice against the Hawks, but couldn't maintain it. The teams were tied at halftime before Julian Buescher converted a penalty kick for his second goal of the match to give the Orange a 2-1 lead in the 57th minute. Hartford answered on Blake Jones' goal in the 64th minute. Syracuse had two shots in the second overtime session but couldn't convert as the game ended in a tie.

UP NEXT…
The Orange return to ACC play on Friday, Oct. 21 when they go on the road to face No. 3 Clemson at 7 p.m. in a rematch of last year's national semifinal.
